Codex ET-2 ("the App") is designed with privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application for exploring the warehouse of every 8×8 monochrome icon.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens locally on your device, and no information is sent to external servers.

Local Data Processing

The App processes the following information locally on your device:

Favorites & Edits

What: Icons you favorite or edit, and the coordinates you've visited

Purpose: To remember your collection and history between app launches

Storage: Stored locally on your device

App Settings

What: Display preferences and configuration

Purpose: To remember your setup between app launches

Storage: Stored locally on your device

Sharing

When you share an icon or its coordinates, the App uses the standard iOS share sheet. The destination of any share is chosen by you and governed by the privacy policy of the destination app or service. No sharing data passes through our servers.

Permissions

The App does not request any system permissions. It runs entirely on local computation with no need for camera, microphone, motion, location, or network access.

Platform-Specific Notes

iOS

Distributed through the App Store and follows Apple's strict privacy guidelines. The app runs in a secure sandbox environment with all system access controlled by platform permissions.

Data Security

Since all data processing happens locally on your device:

  • Your favorites and edits are protected by your device's system security
  • No data transmission means no risk of data breaches
  • Settings are stored using secure platform-native preferences
  • You maintain complete control over your data

Children's Privacy
